The day started with my slight rut of yesterday continuing on to this morning, and with the threat of snow coming I felt a bit "meh" this morning. Then I got a text message. No, not one saying someone fantastic wants to hire me, although being hired by text would be awesome. Actually, it was a text from my amazing baking friend Joy, who lives in sunny LA.
As you can see in the text she must have been keeping tabs on me lately and realized I needed a vacation in the sun, and so she reached out to me. After talking to Husband and the snow coming and going like 5 times today, a flight to LA was booked to spend four, what I can only assume will be fabulous days, with Ms. Joy. I can't wait!
It's funny, because after my flight was booked I then found and applied for a job, and ate a fortune cookie that said "your day shall go well tomorrow," which I have all the faith in the world in.
So thank you Joy for the Joyful outlook to my day and I can't wait to come to LA in two weeks, but what shoes will I wear.
